North Korea fires two ballistic missiles into the East Sea two days after the launch of cruise missiles

North Korea fired two ballistic missiles into the East Sea from the central inland area on the afternoon of the 15th, the Joint Chiefs of Staff said.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff made this clear in a text message sent to reporters today and said, "The South Korean and US intelligence agencies are closely analyzing additional information."

This is North Korea's fifth missile launch this year, just two days after it was announced (reported on the 13th) that it successfully test-fired a long-range cruise missile.

Earlier, North Korea fired cruise missiles on January 22 and March 21, right after Biden took office, and on the 25th of the same month, short-range ballistic missiles in violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

Usually, when military authorities detect ballistic missiles, they quickly notify the media.

An official of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said, "The military is maintaining a full readiness posture by closely cooperating with the US while strengthening surveillance and vigilance."
