"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" not only continued to lead the box office charts, but quickly surpassed its predecessor with more than $688 million worldwide.
The North American box office statistics website boxofficemojo.com released the latest movie market data on May 15. The North American weekend box office (May 13-15) of 25 films reported about $89.55 million.
Among them, "Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness", which entered its second release weekend, earned about $61 million, accounting for two-thirds of the total North American weekend box office this round.
