While rapper Noel (real name Jang Yong-joon), the son of National Power Lawmaker Jang Je-won, was caught driving under the influence of alcohol without a license, a black box video was released showing the situation in which he assaulted the police while refusing to take a breathalyzer.

The black box video released exclusively by SBS 8 News on the 19th contained the scene of Noel's police assault at an intersection in Banpo-dong, Seoul around 10:50 pm on the 18th.

In the black box video taken by the car behind him, Noel is standing with his white Mercedes car and talking with the police. Afterwards, Noel tries to just sit in the driver's seat, pushing the police who asks for a breathalyzer, and continues to argue with the police who stop them.

An on-site witness explained the situation at the time, "(Noel) screamed and pushed the policeman with his hand. He sat down and was pulled out again, sat down and dragged out, then pushed and hit him with his head, and it was just like this." He also said, "(Noel) looked drunk. Anyone who looked at him was drunk (he looked like he was drunk)," he said.

On that day, while changing lanes before turning right at the intersection, Noel collided with a vehicle on the right. When the police, who witnessed the accident while on patrol, asked for a breathalyzer and identification, Noel refused and confronted the police.

Failure to comply with a breathalyzer test will result in a license revocation level of drunk driving charges. On the same day, the police took Noel, who was in a state of intoxication to the point that it was impossible to investigate, and decided to review whether to apply for an arrest warrant for Noel after the investigation was over after the holiday.

This is not the first time Noel's drunk driving case is more controversial. Noel was found to have caused a drunken accident two years ago while intoxicated at the level of revocation of his license and was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and two years of probation. Despite the fact that he is currently on probation without a license, Noel once again caused a scandal for drunk driving.

After the incident became known through SNS, Noel said, "I have nothing to say. I will accept all the sins I deserve and try to become a more mature member of society." I'm really sorry," he apologized.
