Witnesses of News looks
back on the opening of the trial of the attacks of November 13, 2015. The month of October was entirely devoted to the hearings of the civil parties.
When you are a journalist, how do you reproduce them as faithfully as possible?
Laura Martel, in charge of justice at RFI, talks about her work during this period.

For five weeks, strong testimonies followed one another at the bar.
Which ones to choose?
How do you prepare to cover
this kind of trial
?
In this episode, we understand that there was no question of making a hierarchy between the victims, their suffering, but that inevitably it was necessary to make a choice among the fifteen daily testimonies.
Laura confirms that it was not always easy but that the important thing was to be as honest as possible in the transcription.
We also learn that six years after the attacks, this trial allows the families of the victims to better understand how their loved ones died and that we are still facing a story in construction.
