For Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady, reconciliation is becoming ever more distant.

According to sources close to People magazine, the Miami-based Brazilian model is said to have hired a divorce attorney.

Brady, who is quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is also said to be looking for a lawyer with separation experience.

The two have been separated for a few months.

Brady's decision to continue his career as a football player is said to have contributed to the tensions between the former glamor couple.

The 45-year-old announced his retirement from the National Football League (NFL) earlier this year.

A few weeks later, Brady returned just as abruptly to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Meanwhile, Bundchen let it be known that she did not support her husband's decision due to health and family concerns.

The couple, who married in 2009, co-parent 12-year-old Benjamin and nine-year-old Vivian Lake.

From Brady's liaison with actress Bridget Moynahan ("Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York") also comes 15-year-old John Edward, who has spent a lot of time with his father's family in recent years.
