On Friday, Sweden will sign an agreement on expanded military cooperation with Denmark and Norway.

Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist (S) believes that cooperation is important, among other things, due to the risk of international terrorism and the conflict in Afghanistan.

- It is essential to build networks and alliances where we cooperate with each other to contribute to stability, says the Minister of Defense.

The Moderates welcome the agreement but say it does not replace full membership of the NATO military alliance.
