The spread of the Covid-19 pandemic has increased its rate in the past 24 hours. Health records 1,772 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday , a figure that represents a significant increase compared to 1,178 on Tuesday, and that today does not include Castilla La Mancha - due to technical problems - or the Basque Country - due to local festivities. Aragón (614) and Madrid (539) account for two thirds of these most recent infections. The total number of those affected has increased from yesterday to today by 2,953 patients.
This Wednesday's update also includes one more death from the coronavirus , which brings the official figure to 28,499 . This data does not include deaths in residences or in patients who presented symptoms compatible with Covid-19 but who did not undergo a diagnostic test. 25 of those deaths have occurred in the past week , compared to 34 on Tuesday.
