Earlier on Friday, the Dutchman Fabio Jakobsen woke up from a coma after a crash on the first stage of the Tour de Pologne.

Delage, 35, must have been conscious when he was taken to hospital.

"Mickael Delage suffered a severe fall on the Tour de Pologne and has been taken to hospital. He is conscious ", Delage's team Groupama-FDJ writes on Twitter.
