On September 23, the Nepalese government held a state funeral for the famous mountaineer Ang Rita Sherpa in Kathmandu.
Ange Rita Sherpa is also known as "Snow Leopard".
From 1983 to 1996, he climbed Mount Everest 10 times without supplementary oxygen.
In 1987, he set the Guinness World Record for "climbing Mount Everest in winter without using auxiliary oxygen".
In 1990, he reached the summit of Mount Everest for the 6th time without auxiliary oxygen, setting the Guinness World Record for the largest number of summits without auxiliary oxygen at that time.
He passed away in Kathmandu on September 21 this year.
