The judicial court of Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) on Tuesday dismissed the applicants who were acting in summary proceedings against the “Rocher Mistral” park.

The immediate neighbors of this theme park, a sort of "Puy du fou Provencal", installed in the castle of La Barben, 20 minutes from Aix, complained about the noise pollution caused by the nightly shows.

The residents live next to "an open-air nightclub", the applicants' lawyer, Jean-Marc Descoubès, had denounced.

Return to court on October 26

"It is produced testimonies which indicate an unbearable sound environment around 75 decibels, which would be affirmed by a measuring device without the control of this affirmation being possible in the file", writes the court in its judgment.

In other words, these statements were not made under cover of a bailiff.

The Château Rocher Mistral has been open since July 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with sound and light shows.

The Rocher Mistral will go to court again on October 26, summoned by France nature environnement for lack of planning and construction permits.
