National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine extended sanctions against Russian social networks

“The NSDC’s decision, among other things, provides for the application of restrictive measures (sanctions) against Russian social networks and Internet services, in particular Mail.ru, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and others,” the Facebook statement said.

Earlier, ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko demanded that the current head of state, Vladimir Zelensky, extend sanctions against Russian social networks and television channels.

In April, the National Security and Defense Council prepared a draft decision on the application of sanctions against Russian social networks and IT companies, including VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, and Mail.ru.
