  Since the deployment of the Ministry of Public Security on December 5, 2020 to launch a special campaign against crimes obstructing national (border) management, more than 18,000 criminal cases of obstructing national (border) management have been detected nationwide, and more than 48,000 criminal suspects have been arrested. more than 47,000 illegal entry and exit personnel were seized, which were 2.3 times, 3.6 times, and 3.4 times that of the previous year; 2,497 criminal gangs were destroyed, 797 transit dens of various types were destroyed, and 2,288 transport vehicles involved in the case were seized. 1,116 intermediaries and enterprises involved in the case were investigated and dealt with.

  At the press conference, the relevant person in charge of the National Immigration Administration also announced 10 typical cases detected during the special struggle, including the "1.24" case in Yunnan and the "11.18" case in Guangxi.

Among the more than 48,000 criminal suspects arrested, 20,353 have been arrested according to law, and 13,554 have been sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment in accordance with the law.
