Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that 77 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
This is the first time that more than 70 people have been newly infected since May 19, and the number has exceeded 50 for the fifth consecutive day.
It also more than quadrupled compared to last Sunday.
With this, the number of people confirmed to be infected in the prefecture is 8983.
On the other hand, there were no announcements of people who died of infection.
