Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 4th that it was confirmed that 1017 new people were infected with the new coronavirus.
It surpassed 1004 on the 28th of last month, the highest number ever.
The total number of people confirmed to be infected in Nara Prefecture was 29,891.
Nara Prefecture also announced that one woman with confirmed infection had died.
A total of 160 people have died in the prefecture.
On the other hand, the number of seriously ill people increased by 2 from the 3rd to 15 people.
