One gone, one found.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday evening appointed his Minister of Education, Nadhim Zahawi, as Finance Minister, from whom Rishi Sunak resigned with a bang a few hours earlier.

His appointment comes after the shock resignation of his predecessor Rishi Sunak and that of Health Minister Sajid Javid, who announced a few minutes apart to leave the government, tired of repeated scandals.

Sajid Javid has been replaced in Health by Steve Barclay, previously in charge of government coordination

The Minister of Health also replaced

Nadhim Zahawi, 55, co-founded the renowned YouGov pollster and began his political career in conservative circles in London, before becoming an MP in 2010. He gained popularity by managing the vaccination of the British during the pandemic.

The services of Boris Johnson indicated that Queen Elizabeth II had approved the appointment of Nadhim Zahawi.

The Iraqi-born Kurd arrived in the UK with his family without speaking a word of English and went on to pursue a lucrative career in business.
