The death penalty was confirmed in the "Nabari poisonous wine case" in which pesticides were put into wine in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture in 1958, and five women were killed. Will show the decision on the 3rd, whether or not to allow the retrial = redoing the trial.

61 years ago, in 1958, at a social gathering in the district of Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, in the "Nabari Poisonous Wine Incident" in which pesticides were put into wine and five women were killed, Katsutoshi Okunishi, a former convict on death row, was sentenced to death. He continued to seek retrial, but died of pneumonia seven years ago at the age of 89.

After that, his sister filed a 10th retrial request with the Nagoya High Court in total, but he filed an objection because he was rejected five years ago.

Another presiding judge of the Nagoya High Court, who has heard this allegation, will decide whether to approve the retrial at 10:30 am on the 3rd.

The lawyers said that the paper that had been sealed in the spout of the bottle of wine had glue of a different component from the manufacturing stage, and it was possible that the criminal other than the former convict on death row had mixed the pesticide and then reattached it. Claiming that it has sex, we are submitting a certificate of appraisal regarding the ingredients of the glue as new evidence.

It seems that no retrial has been granted after the death of a convict on death row, and the court's decision is noteworthy.
