“The data obtained today indicate that there is no negative effect of the covid vaccine on the reproductive function of men and women,” TASS quoted Murashko as saying in a welcoming address to the participants of the 16th International Congress on Reproductive Medicine.

According to him, COVID-19 disease can complicate the course of pregnancy and its outcome.

He added that every effort should be made to timely vaccinate citizens of reproductive age at the stage of family planning.

Earlier, Alexander Gorelov, Deputy Director for Research at the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, said that, according to studies, if a pregnant woman who was not vaccinated against coronavirus had COVID-19, then her child’s IQ could be 20% lower.
