“The top 1000 of the ARWU 2022 ranking includes ten Russian universities, for the first time the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology has entered the top 1000.
Moscow State University outstripped all Russian universities and fell into the range of 101-150th place in the world, ”RIA Novosti reports with reference to data from the ShanghaiRanking consulting company.
It is noted that for 20 years the full ranking has been headed by Harvard University, Stanford University - in second place.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) closes the top three universities.
The top 10 also included the University of Cambridge, UC Berkeley, Princeton, Oxford and Columbia University.
In 2021, Moscow was included in the top 100 best cities in the world for students according to the British consulting company Studee.
In 2022, the Russian capital ranked fourth among cities in the world in terms of the number of young entrepreneurs who are winners and nominees of the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
