Morgan Stevens
has died at the age of 70.
The Melrose Place
actor
, also known for starring in
Fame
, had been missing for several days when his neighbors called the police.
Authorities have confirmed to
TMZ
that officers found Morgan in her kitchen, already dead.
Violent intervention is not suspected and the main hypothesis is a death from natural causes.
Morgan starred in seven episodes of the American soap opera
Melrose Place
as Nick Diamond in the mid-1990s, and also played Professor
David Reardon
in two seasons of
Fame
from 1982 to 1984.
The late actor also appeared in the historical drama
The Waltons
as
Paul Northridge
, and in
The Waltons
trilogy ,
in which his character marries
Erin Walton
(
Mary Elizabeth McDonough
).
Stevens claimed he was a victim of police brutality after he was arrested for driving under the influence in the 1990s. His nose and cheekbone were broken and his jaw was dislocated.
The case was settled out of court in 1991.
Morgan's last screen appearance was in the television series
Walker
in 1999 as
Max Henson
.
