Wiesbaden / Berlin (dpa / lhe) - Another 571 infections with the corona virus have been reported in Hesse.
The number of deaths associated with the virus increased by 38 to a total of 6,648, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin on Tuesday (as of 3:10 a.m.).
A total of 244 779 infections have been detected across the country since the start of the corona pandemic.
The incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past 7 days, fell slightly to 156.1.
The day before it was 162.0, a week ago it was 142. The incidence was highest on Tuesday with a value of 267.9 in the city of Offenbach, followed by the Limburg-Weilburg district with 260.6 and the Fulda district with 258 ,1.
According to data from the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine as of Tuesday (as of 6:19 a.m.), there were 442 Covid 19 patients in the intensive care units of Hessian hospitals, of whom 216 were ventilated.
1703 of 1950 intensive care beds available were occupied, including by people with other diseases.
