RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the Russian Embassy in Armenia.

When receiving data on the forthcoming export flight of Armenia airline for Armenian citizens on the Yerevan - Moscow - Yerevan route, the diplomatic mission worked out the possibility of using this flight to return Russians to their homeland.

“The necessary approvals were obtained from the Russian regional authorities, ministries and departments, as well as the operational headquarters under the Russian government,” the message on the embassy's Facebook page says.

According to the diplomatic mission, a total of 3396 people were removed from Armenia. Work continues.

On July 20, it was reported that about 200 Russian citizens returned home by an export flight from Africa.
