20 August 2021 An Italian mountaineer died this afternoon after a fall in the Mont Blanc massif. This was announced by the French media and the French Alpine Rescue, but without giving the name of the victim.



The man fell in the early afternoon in the sector of the 'Dente del Gigante', a spur of rock, a summit at 4,013 meters above sea level, located on the Franco-Italian border, on the north side of Mont Blanc.



The body of the climber was transported to Chamonix by the PGHM, the Platoon of the French High Mountain Gendarmerie.
