Mohamed Salah wins the first English Premier League awards this season

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah won the first prizes this season in the Premier League.

Salah was chosen as the best player in the English Premier League this season by the Football Critics Association, for the second time in his career after winning it in 2018.

The Portuguese Robin Diaz, Manchester City defender, won this award last year.

The captain of the Egyptian national team grabbed this award thanks to his 22 goals in addition to providing 13 assists in 31 Premier League matches.

In total, Mohamed Salah scored 30 goals and assisted 14 others in 44 matches in all tournaments.

Salah contributed to Liverpool winning the League Cup, qualifying for the FA Cup final, and remains second behind Manchester City with one point, 5 rounds before the end of the English Premier League.

Liverpool also set foot in the Champions League final, defeating Villarreal 2-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals.
