Mohamed bin Zayed and the Turkish President witness the exchange of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the friendly Republic of Turkey witnessed today the exchange of cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding and protocols between several parties in the UAE and their counterparts in Turkey aimed at strengthening cooperation and expanding partnerships between the two countries in terms of These include investment, health, agriculture, transportation, industries, advanced technologies, climate action, culture, youth, and others.
The agreements and memoranda exchanged by the two sides during a ceremony held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi included the following:
1 - A memorandum of understanding between the governments of the UAE and the Republic of Turkey in the fields of health and medical sciences was exchanged by Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Community Protection, and Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
2 - A memorandum of understanding in the field of advanced industries and technologies was exchanged by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and from the Turkish side, His Excellency Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology.
3 - A memorandum of understanding on climate action was exchanged by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change, and Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
4 - A memorandum of understanding in the cultural field between the governments of the UAE and the Republic of Turkey was exchanged by H.E. Noura bint Muhammad Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, and from the Turkish side, H.E. Muhammad Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism.
5- A joint statement regarding the intention to start the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the Republic of Turkey, exchanged by the UAE, His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al-Marri, Minister of Economy, and by Turkey, His Excellency Muhammad Muş, the Minister of Commerce.
6- A memorandum of understanding in the agricultural fields was exchanged by Her Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, and His Excellency Bekir Pakdemirli, the Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
7- A memorandum of understanding in the fields of land and sea transport between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey was exchanged by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Adel Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
8 - A memorandum of understanding in the field of youth between the governments of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Turkey was exchanged by Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail bin Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, and His Excellency Muhammad Nuri Arsoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism.
9 - A memorandum of understanding on crisis and disaster management was exchanged by the UAE side, His Excellency Ali Saeed Al Neyadi, Chairman of the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, and the Turkish side, His Excellency Suleiman Soylu, Minister of Interior.
10 - A memorandum of understanding in the field of meteorology between the two countries' governments was exchanged by His Excellency Faris Muhammad Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Center of Meteorology, and His Excellency Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs.
11 - A protocol of cooperation in the field of media exchanged by HE Saeed Al Eter, Head of the Media Office of the UAE Government, and from the Turkish side, Farhan Altan, Head of Communications - President's Office.
12 - A letter of intent regarding cooperation in defense industries was exchanged by His Excellency Tariq Al Hosani, CEO of Tawazun Economic Council, and Ismail Demir, President of Turkish Defense Industries.
13 - A protocol of cooperation between the Archives and the National Library in the UAE and the Directorate of Archives of the Republic of Turkey affiliated to the Presidency of the Republic, exchanged by His Excellency Abdullah Majid Al Ali, Acting Director General of the National Archives and Library, and Dr. Ugur Unal, Director of the State Archives of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.
