Mishustin announced this at a meeting with the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev during a trip to the region.
“The government has now allocated 1 billion rubles for the socio-economic development (of the region),” TASS quoted him as saying.
In turn, Kobzev said that funding will be sent to municipalities.
Earlier, Mishustin signed a document on the allocation of 85 billion rubles to support healthcare in the regions.
