According to reports, there are more than 120 research institutions, manufacturers and industry organizations including China Electronics Standardization Institute, Shenyang Fire Department of Emergency Management Department, China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology, Institute of Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, CATL, Yiwei Lithium Energy, and Huawei Digital Energy. Representatives of , participate in the meeting in an "online + offline" manner.
In December 2021, the mandatory national standard "Safety Requirements for Lithium Batteries and Battery Packs for Electric Energy Storage Systems" was officially released. The standard is under the centralized management of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and drafted by the Electronic Standards Institute and other units.
The convening of this meeting also marks the official start of the preparation of the strong standard.
In the next step, the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will guide relevant technical institutions to speed up the formulation of strong standards and promote the healthy and orderly development of the lithium battery industry.
At the same time, it will continue to promote the supply-side structural reform of the lithium battery industry, guide industrial transformation and upgrading and technological progress, and strongly support the realization of the grand goal of "carbon peaking in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060".
