China News Service, Beijing, December 3 (Reporter Liu Yuying) Huang Libin, Director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, said when talking about the carbon peaking action in the industrial sector, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and other relevant departments have compiled the industrial The implementation plan for carbon peaking in key industries such as steel, non-ferrous metals, petrochemical and chemical industries, and building materials.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China issued the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for Industrial Green Development" on the 3rd.

Huang Libin said at the press conference that day that the relevant plans have been compiled and will be released in accordance with unified requirements and procedures in the future.

According to reports, the "Plan" focuses on the implementation of the carbon peaking action in the industrial sector, builds a green and low-carbon technology system and a green manufacturing support system, and promotes the industry's high-end industrial structure, low-carbon energy consumption, recycling of resources, and cleaner production processes. Transformation in the direction of green product supply and digitization of the production process, 34 specific measures have been proposed to promote the implementation of 8 major projects.

Huang Libin said that relevant departments will make every effort to promote their own carbon peaks in the industrial sector.

In terms of industrial structure, resolutely curb the blind development of high-energy-consumption and high-emission projects; in terms of circular economy, strengthen the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste and reduce resource consumption.

The industrial sector must build a green and low-carbon product supply system and actively help the entire society to reach its peak carbon.

For example, implement the smart photovoltaic industry development action plan and carry out pilot demonstrations, continue to promote the steady development of wind turbines, overcome core components, and help the energy production sector to reach the peak of carbon.

In addition, efforts must be made to promote digital transformation in the industrial sector.

Strengthen the two-way connection between the needs of industrial enterprises and the supply of information services, promote the deep integration of a new generation of information technology and industry, and drive the transformation of production methods through digital transformation.

The "Plan" proposes that by 2025, the intensity of industrial carbon emissions will continue to decline.

Carbon dioxide emissions per unit of industrial added value have been reduced by 18%, and the total carbon emissions control of key industries such as iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, and building materials has achieved phased results.
