China News Service, July 6th. Zhai Qing, deputy minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, said on the 6th that the central ecological and environmental protection inspector has solved a large number of outstanding ecological and environmental problems.

Two rounds of inspectors have accepted 287,000 mass ecological environment petitions and reports, and 285,000 have been rectified so far.

  On the 6th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the progress and effectiveness of the central ecological and environmental protection supervision.

Zhai Qing made the above statement when answering questions from reporters.

  Zhai Qing pointed out that the inspectors have focused on "hard bones" and eliminated "big problems", and solved a large number of outstanding ecological and environmental problems that have long been tried to solve but have not been solved.

The protection of the Yangtze River coastline, the regulation of illegal low enclosures in Dongting Lake, the ecological restoration of the Qilian Mountains, and the regulation of illegal villas in the Qinling Mountains, etc., have achieved remarkable results in the rectification of these problems and have been sincerely praised by the people.

  According to Zhai Qing, as of now, the 3,294 rectification tasks specified in the first round of inspectors and the "look back" rectification plan have now reached an overall completion rate of 95%.

Half of the 1,227 rectification tasks specified in the first three batches of rectification plans in the second round have been completed.

The fourth, fifth and sixth batches of inspection and rectification are being actively and orderly advanced.
