“According to the instructions of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, today 35 ethnic Kazakhs - kandases, are returning to their historical homeland from Afghanistan,” TASS quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan as saying.

It is noted that the special board of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan arrived from Kabul to the airport of Alma-Ata with 41 passengers, including four citizens of Kazakhstan, one citizen of Kyrgyzstan and one Afghan permanently residing in Kazakhstan.

On September 2, the special envoy of the President of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan Talgat Kaliyev said that more than 200 ethnic Kazakhs could be evacuated from Afghanistan.
