(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China: Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day "Double Festival" is coming, strictly implement the "fuse" mechanism of cross-provincial tourism operation

China News Service, Beijing, September 16 (Ma Shuaisha) Hou Zhengang, the first-level inspector of the Marketing Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, said in Beijing on the 16th that the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day "double festivals" are coming soon, and we will strictly implement cross-provincial tourism operations. The "circuit breaker" mechanism will immediately suspend travel agencies and online travel companies from operating the province's inter-provincial team travel and "air ticket + hotel" services for provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) in areas with medium and high risks.

On the same day, the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council of China held a press conference to further improve the situation of epidemic prevention and control and vaccination.

Hou Zhengang said that the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day "double festivals" are coming soon, and the number of tourists will increase.

In response to the current epidemic situation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism insists on making epidemic prevention and control the top priority of its current work, focusing on the following four aspects:

One is to strictly do a good job of external defense input.

Travel agencies and online travel companies will not resume inbound and outbound team travel and "air ticket + hotel" services, and temporarily postpone the new approval of foreign-related, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-related commercial performance activities (except for those with cast and crew already in the country).

The second is to strictly implement the "fuse" mechanism for cross-provincial tourism operations.

For provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) with medium-high-risk areas, travel agencies and online travel companies will immediately suspend the operation of inter-provincial team travel and "air ticket + hotel" business in the province, and resume operations after the medium- and high-risk areas in the province are cleared. Inter-provincial tourism operation.

The third is to strictly manage the epidemic prevention and control in all aspects of tourism.

Travel agencies are required to conduct safety risk assessments of tourism products, reasonably control the size of the team, and do a good job of information collection, health inspections, and body temperature monitoring of tourists.

The fourth is to strictly implement the "limitation, appointment, and peak shifting" requirements of tourist attractions.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, more than 10,000 A-level tourist attractions will be open normally across the country, accounting for about 80% of the total number of A-level tourist attractions.

In order to ensure the safe and orderly opening of tourist attractions, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism instructs A-level tourist attractions to reasonably control the upper limit of tourist reception, strictly implement the ticket reservation system, and ensure that tourist information can be queried and tracked.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the people's travel demand for visiting relatives and friends and tourism is relatively strong. Zhuo Li, deputy director of the Emergency Office of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, said that in order to cope with small travel peaks, the Ministry will coordinate and do a good job in four aspects: one is to strengthen transportation organization guarantees, the other is to strengthen epidemic prevention and control measures, and the third is to strengthen road network operation services. The fourth is to strengthen safety and emergency management; it is recommended that qualified passengers travel off peaks as much as possible, and implement protective measures such as wearing masks, hand hygiene, and one-meter noodles when entering and exiting public transportation places or taking public transportation.
