Deng Xiaogang, deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, introduced that the system and mechanism for the integrated development of urban and rural areas has been initially established, the basic pension insurance for urban and rural residents has basically achieved full coverage of rural residents of school age, and a unified basic medical insurance system for urban and rural residents has been established.
In 2021, the per capita disposable income of rural residents will be 18,931 yuan, more than double that of 2012, and the production and living standards of farmers have reached a big step.
