"Learning today that I was a contact case, I immediately performed a test which turned out to be positive for Covid-19. I isolate myself from this day and continue to carry out my ministerial functions from a distance ", wrote the Minister on Twitter.

According to her cabinet, "the minister has no symptoms and is doing well".

"She will ensure her next appointments remotely by phone and videoconference," said the same source.

At the end of November, Prime Minister Jean Castex had tested positive for the coronavirus, just like his 11-year-old daughter.

France is facing a high level of Sars-Cov-2 contamination and, like the rest of Europe, fears an acceleration in the number of infections with the arrival of the Omicron variant, much more contagious than the Delta variant, which is currently still dominant in France.
