The Minimum Wage Committee will hold the 7th plenary meeting today (28th) at 3 pm at the government complex in Sejong to discuss the level of the minimum wage for next year.



At today's meeting, attention will be paid to whether the labor and management circles will each come up with a proposal for amendment.



At the 6th meeting held on the 23rd, Park Jun-sik, chairman of the Minimum Wage, requested both labor and management to submit a proposal for amendment of the minimum wage by the time of this meeting.



The labor community demanded 10,890 won per hour, an increase of 1,730 won from the 9,160 won minimum wage this year, and the business community included in the first request that it be frozen at 9,160 won.
