Knowing who will play next year in the Second Division and in the new

First RFEF

requires an instruction manual.

After the first phase of the chaotic competition that 102 teams have played, it is convenient to remember the following steps.

Take note.

In the First RFEF there are already 30 direct places, those who have remained after 18 days among the first three of the subgroups into which the competition was divided.

This weekend they will begin to play the six days that can lead them to fight for promotion to Second.

Among them are

Raúl González's

Castilla

, the affiliates of Barça, Celta, Athletic, Real, Betis and Villarreal,

Alcoyano

,

Ibiza

, Logroñés, Extremadura or UCAM Murcia.

Only 16 will achieve it, again the best three and a quarter of each of the five reunited groups in which these 30 teams will be distributed.

One thing to keep in mind is that this league will carry the points they have achieved in the first phase and that teams that have already done so in the previous one will not face each other.

The jump to the silver category will be given by four of them if they overcome two heats of a

playoff

that will be played in a single venue.

A novelty:

penalties are eliminated

and, after an extension, the team with the best classified throughout the season will continue forward.

Only if that is also tied will the launches be used.

Award for excellence against the lottery.

Neither Deportivo nor Hercules

The 14 that have not been able to be in the

playoff

and the 12 that do not rise, a total of 26 teams, have their place in the First RFEF, as well as the four that descend from the Smartbank League.

How are the remaining 10 places filled up to 40 in the competition?

32 teams will fight for them, those classified between fourth and sixth, and two seventh, which will be divided again into five groups and will play a league with the same rules.

To achieve this, they will have to grit their illustrious teeth such as

Deportivo

, Numancia, Racing or

Hercules

, in addition to the ambitious

Marbella

project

with Esteban Granero.

The best two will have a gap and the remaining 22 will stay in Second B, renamed Second RFEF.

But there are 40 other clubs that were already condemned to this new third category that will have to play for not

relegation to Third

.

They are again divided into five groups of eight: the first four remain (and will play a 96-team competition with the 54 that move up from Third) and the last four, go down.

The subsidiaries Espanyol, Valencia and Atlético de Madrid will have to suffer to avoid finishing in Third.
