Maktoum bin Mohammed receives Slovak Prime Minister at Expo 2020 Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, received today, Saturday, Eduard Heeger, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of Slovakia, at the headquarters of "Expo 2020 Dubai".

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed welcomed the visiting Slovak Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of the distinguished ties and relations that unite the UAE and the Republic of Slovakia, which His Highness wished, the government and people, further progress and prosperity.



During the meeting, which was attended by a number of ministers and senior officials, they discussed bilateral relations, ways of developing them, and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various economic, trade and investment fields, reflecting the depth of ties between the two countries and the two friendly peoples, in light of a common vision on the importance of finding new paths of cooperation with the participation of the government sectors. and private sector, while working to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.

For his part, His Excellency the Slovak Prime Minister stressed the depth of the close relations between the two friendly countries and the work to develop them in various sectors, praising the great success achieved by Dubai and the UAE in organizing Expo 2020 Dubai, and the extent of the hospitality he received with the Slovak delegation participating in the exhibition, pointing to his country’s participation In this version of the exhibition, an integrated pavilion displays the evolution of the Slovak experience and its transformation from an agricultural country to relying on future technology.

During the meeting, it was emphasized the importance of creating the appropriate conditions to enable Emirati and Slovak institutions and companies to discover available investment opportunities in order to expand the circle of economic and investment cooperation within the vital areas and new sectors that serve the development goals of both sides, with a focus on key sectors including: health care, energy, sustainable growth and modern industries. Infrastructure, innovation, future technology and the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

They also discussed ways to promote inter-regional cooperation in terms of exchanging experiences and successful experiences in various fields related to sustainable development trends in the two countries, and discovering new paths for economic cooperation based on the promising elements and the great opportunities available on both sides, in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, and enhances their development orientations towards the future.
