Omar Sy announced, via a photo posted on his Instagram account, that he had started filming the new season of the Netflix series "Lupine".

A third season where he will again play Assane Diop.

This modern version of the French gentleman burglar has enjoyed tremendous international success.

He puts on his tweed cap and his long coat.

Omar Sy once again plays Assane Diop, his character from the Netflix series

Lupine

, inspired by the adventures of Maurice Leblanc's novels.

The actor has just started filming the third part of this fiction in Paris.

This is what he announced by posting a selfie on his Instagram account, where he wears his Assane Diop costume, and where we can guess in the background the rooftops of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.

Lupine, third most watched series on Netflix

"Here, it's (still) Paris! Lupine, Part 3, filming in progress. It's good to be at home", rejoiced Omar Sy in the caption of this photo.

This sequel to

Lupine

is eagerly awaited, in France and around the world.

The series is indeed the third most watched in the history of the platform.

Lupine

established itself internationally from its launch in January 2021. And its success was confirmed last June, with the launch of its second part.

So much so that Netflix and Omar Sy signed a multi-year contract in October.

As a result, sales of Maurice Leblanc's books featuring the gentleman burglar have jumped.

But the series doesn't just needle readers.

Last October, his

Lupine

plot

inspired a failed heist in Italy.

Because it is not Arsène Lupine (nor Assane Diop) who wants: the thief was caught the next day, after having stolen a very meager booty.
