Lulu offers discounts on 10,000 products

"Lulu Hypermarket" Group announced yesterday the launch of discounts that include more than 10,000 commodities for a period of 50 days, starting today, Wednesday, through a series of initiatives and social responsibility campaigns, as part of the launch of its "Proud of the UAE 50" campaign on the occasion of the UAE's celebrations of the year Fifty.

LuLu Chairman Yusuf Ali MA said, "(Lulu) is proud to be a brand that originated in the UAE," noting that "its success is due to the vision of the country's leaders, who made the UAE a safe haven for business, trade and investment."

In turn, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Lulu International Group, Nanda Kumar, explained during a press conference held by the group in Abu Dhabi, that the discount campaign includes nine major initiatives applied in 87 stores and outlets belonging to the group throughout the Emirates, most notably the launch of 50 products. Every day with a 50% discount, with a total of 4,000 items, for the duration of the campaign.

And he indicated that the cuts include food and consumer goods, electronics, clothing, and others, provided that products and items are changed periodically to provide more options for consumers.

He added that the campaign also includes promoting local and manufactured products in the UAE, through the "Proudly Made in the UAE" festival, which includes discounts on local and organic products, as well as the launch of the "LuLu Technology" initiative, which includes offers on smartphones, electronics and digital cameras.

Kumar pointed out that the campaign includes the launch of "Amazing Friday Deals", which focus on electronics, phones and accessories, and includes offers from banks through credit card payments, and the campaign also includes offers on fashion and clothing.

For his part, director of e-commerce operations at "Lulu", Stuart Davidge, said that the discounts also include e-shopping operations through "Lulu" branches, in addition to direct shopping in the same branches.
