May 14, 2021A renewed festival, immersed in the urban greenery of an extraordinary city of art, which looks to the future with a closer look at sustainability, innovation, inclusiveness and more aimed at the younger generations.

Among the very first Italian realities to confirm the restart, Ferrara Sotto le Stelle, the historic festival now in its 25th edition and which from 2020 sees the artistic direction of Corrado Nuccini, returns from 30 June to 4 July.

Important news of this edition, the Festival moves from the historic Piazza Castello to immerse itself in the greenery of the Massari Park. A welcoming place more suited to the time of the pandemic, which will host a line up of a true boutique festival: the neo-standard bearers of the British post-punk Shame, the great heretic Iosonouncane with the first stop of his highly anticipated new tour, the pillars of music Italian alternative Massimo Volume, the true sovereign of nu-soul Venerus, the most fluid duo of the new indie scene The Representative of Lista and the sophisticated rapper / songwriter Mecna. To these, we must add the names of artists who with their innovations are giving further light to an already very fervent moment for Italian music: Generic Animal with its crooked and melancholy rap, the psychedelic pop of Post Nebbia, the extraordinary sound mixture of Laila Al Habash and, finally, the promising musician and graphic designer Vieri Cervelli Montel.

A week full of unmissable concerts, immersed in the relaxed atmosphere of the park, among colored sheets and green materials, in full compliance with anti-covid protocols to ensure safety for the public, artists and technicians. Ferrara Sotto le Stelle will not be just live music: the festival, in fact, also offers workshops for children and adolescents, meetings and talks, without forgetting the sounds of the urban park. There will also be the opportunity to take advantage of discounts for museums, exhibitions and stays in Ferrara, in order to increasingly merge the festival with its city, in an extraordinary ideal dialogue between contemporary culture and a historical and artistic heritage famous all over the world. .

The artistic director Nuccini proudly claims: “Our commitment is to create a festival capable of interpreting the transformations of the world, a festival attentive to digital and green culture”.
