LIVE

An achievement or nothing.

OM, beaten in the last moments at Olympiakos (0-1), must imperatively make a result against Manchester City on Tuesday evening (9 p.m.) on the second day of the group stage of the Champions League.

A second defeat in two matches could indeed mean the end of Marseille's dreams of qualifying for the round of 16.

But the Marseillais, who have just beaten Lorient last weekend (1-0), will have a lot to face Manchester City, one of the favorites of the competition.

OM - Manchester City: kick off at 9 p.m.

Update on OM's lineup: Payet and Benedetto on the bench and a 5-3-2 pattern!

André Villas-Boas made strong decisions by putting Dimitri Payet and Dario Benedetto on the bench, in poor shape since the start of the season.

The Portuguese coach has also decided to innovate tactically with a 5-3-2, to strengthen his defense.

Rongier, Kamara and Cuisance will be lined up in the middle, supporting an attacking duo made up of Thauvin and Radonjic.

The City point: a (very) complicated start to the season.

If OM are not in resplendent form, Manchester City have also been struggling since the start of the season.

Pep Guardiola's men conceded a draw on West Ham (1-1) last weekend and are currently only 13th in the Premier League, very far from the objectives of the wealthy club owned by an investment fund of 'Abu Dhabi.

The Skyblues are mainly concerned in defense, despite the recruitments this summer of central Ruben Dias (Portuguese) and Nathan Aké (Dutch).

Manchester City remains despite everything big favorite of this meeting.

The OM point: a victory in Lorient, but ...

In Ligue 1, OM remain on two victories in a row against Bordeaux (3-1) and then Lorient (1-0) last weekend.

The Phocéens are now in fourth place, tied on points with third Rennes (15 pts).

But the Marseillais are still struggling to create a game and have not really reassured their supporters.

Last week, they had suffered a lot on the lawn of Olympiakos and had created few chances.

But Manchester City are not invincible, as Lyon proved in the quarterfinals of the Champions League last summer (Lyonnais' 3-1 victory).

Update on the group: Marseille already in the hard.

OM were showered last week on the lawn of Olympiakos, with a defeat conceded in the dying minutes (1-0) after a disturbing performance.

Manchester City, for its part, took the upper hand over FC Porto (3-1), to take control of group C. The men of André Villas-Boas are therefore not entitled to a new error, for the great return of the Stade Vélodrome to the Champions League after seven years of absence.
