On September 25, in the intelligent construction exhibition hall of the Guangxi Liuzhou public transportation supporting project, an intelligent welding robot independently developed by the construction unit attracted the attention of many visitors.

  This robot is the country's first straddle-type single-track intelligent welding robot, which can wirelessly control walking and work on high-altitude tracks such as light rails. After setting the welding path, it can automatically switch between different welds.

In the display that day, the staff demonstrated the welding operation on site.

  According to Yang Jian, equipment research and development researcher of the Engineering Innovation Research Institute of China Construction Fifth Engineering Group, this robot is designed by integrating walking system, guiding system, control system and welding robot arm at the front end. It is he who sees workers risking danger on the tower. It took me more than 6 months to develop a product that I felt when I was doing high-altitude welding.

After testing, the robot's work efficiency can reach more than three times that of manual operations, and it has been actually used in the construction of Liuzhou public transportation supporting projects.

  It is reported that the Liuzhou public transportation supporting project includes an aboveground section and an underground section. The total length of the line is about 9.24 kilometers. During the construction of the project, a variety of advanced technologies have been used, and a number of patents, construction methods, papers, works and other scientific and technological achievements have been formed. Up to now, more than 50 patents including intelligent welding robots, integrated operation vehicles for transport and racking, and monorail linear intelligent joint debugging systems have been declared.
