Little Syrian Amal continues her long journey around the world

"Little Amal" arrived in the French port of Marseille, as part of its global journey, which symbolizes the suffering of displaced children who have been forcibly separated from their families and the dangers they face.

This giant doll, representing a Syrian girl, wearing a pink skirt with wide eyes and straight brown hair, appeared as part of a project that sheds light on the refugee reception crisis and their suffering.

French TV Channel 5 reported that the giant doll arrives at the port of Marseille and looks as if it is looking for its mother in the courtyard of the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations, in an atmosphere full of applause.

Hundreds of children received the giant doll, chanting its name, "Hope, hope, hope," in a scene that left no one indifferent and affected everyone.

The height of the doll is 3.5 meters, and it will travel on its long journey more than 8000 kilometers across 8 countries, from the Syrian-Turkish border to Britain via Marseille.

The giant doll is due to arrive in Manchester, England, on November 3.
