On the occasion of the 17th day of Ligue 2, Sochaux and Pau met at the Auguste-Bonal stadium.
The showdown saw Sochaux win 2-1. Daf and Tholot followed the same tactical pattern, placing their players 1-le 4-2-3-1 to start the match.
The first half went by without any goal being scored.
Opening the scoring in the 47th, Ndiaye allowed his team to really start the match.
However, the goal Evan's Allan scored in the 70th allowed his team to come back.
Lopy's goal in the 93rd, in stoppage time, sealed the match for the benefit of the Gold and Royal Blue Cubs.
Thioune received a yellow card, as did Evan's Allan.
Warned twice in a very short time (55th and 56th), Kouassi had to return to the locker room and forced his team to submit to the law of numbers.
Thanks to his victory, Sochaux retains his place in the top 3 of the competition.
Pau lost a place and was relegated to 8th position.
