Attractive with Clermont Foot last season in Ligue 2,

Mohamed Bayo

continues to fly over the debates, this time in Ligue 1. The Guinean international had already made a name for himself by scoring a goal on August 8 during the first day of the championship on the move on the Girondins de Bordeaux field. Clermont had returned to Auvergne with his first three points (2-0), thanks in particular to Mohamed Bayo before the Beninese Jodel Dossou did not add up at the very end of the game. On August 15, Clermont Foot had won its second success in a row in Ligue 1 against Troyes (2-0). For their first home game in the elite, the Clermontois were worn by a Mohamed Bayo author of a double.

With this eighth goal, Mohamed Bayo Mohamed Bayo made it possible to stop the bleeding, after a series of 5 consecutive defeats in the league.

Today, Clermont Foot is in 17th place with 14 points.

 “

It wasn't easy, but we knew it was a great team. We were keen to raise our heads in front of our supporters

, said the player at the end of the meeting.

This is what we managed to do by scratching this draw. A striker needs to score, to create chances and today I scored so it's good for the team and for me. We have a lot of lessons to learn from this game. We showed that we had character even though we were in a difficult period. I congratulate my team-mates and hope that things will go back on track.

 "

At 23 years old, Bayo has largely contributed to the historic rise of Clermont, to become today the major asset of the team which intends to remain in the elite.

Last October, with a header at the near post, Bayo opened the scoring against Sudan in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. He thus signed his first goal with Guinea, while honoring his third selection.
