General Motors, an American automobile company, announced that it is recalling 69,000 electric vehicles equipped with LG Chem batteries.

The recall target is the Chevrolet Volt, an electric vehicle sold between 2017 and 2019.

GM explained that if the LG Chem battery is fully charged, there is a potential fire potential, and it plans to limit the battery charging rate to a maximum of 90% in the future.

GM's LG Chem battery electric vehicle sold in Korea is about 9,500 units.
