The International Federation of Football History and Statistics announced today, Thursday, that Polish star Robert Lewandowski was crowned for the second year in a row as the best player in the world for the year 2021, surpassing Argentine star Lionel Messi.

Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne came in fourth place, while Egyptian star Mohamed Salah was found in fifth place, equal in points with French Kylian Mbappe, and surpassing Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who finished seventh.
