Leeds United, the club competing in the English Premier League, announced today, Friday, that its legend, Norman Hunter, had died at the age of 76, after being infected with the Corona virus.
The club added on its official website, "Norman was transferred to the hospital last week after he was diagnosed with the" Covid-19 "virus, and despite his resistance to the disease and the great efforts made by the medical staff, he lost the battle in the early hours of this morning.
Hunter participated in 726 games with Leeds United over 15 years, and is considered one of the most prominent legends of the club in its golden age, and during that period he was known for his strong feats with opponents.

In the ranks of Leeds, Hunter won two Premier League titles, a title in the FA Cup, and a title in the League Cup. And participated with the team in the final of the European Cup in 1975, which ended in his defeat against Bayern Munich.
Hunter was also in the 1966 FIFA World Cup England squad, and was the first winner of the 1974 NBA Player of the Year award.
"He will leave a huge void in the hearts of the Leeds United family. His accomplishments will remain immortal and our hearts go out with his family and friends at this very difficult time," the club said of the late player.
