Beijing, June 24 (Reporter Ding Yiting) Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the People's Bank of China jointly released the "National Housing Provident Fund Annual Report 2021" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report").
In 2021, various businesses of the national housing provident fund will run smoothly, with a housing provident fund payment of 2,915.687 billion yuan, and 66.1121 million people withdrawing from housing provident fund of 2,031.613 billion yuan.
According to the "Report", the coverage of the housing provident fund system was further expanded, and the structure of employees who paid and deposited was further optimized.
In the whole year, 794,600 units opened new accounts and 22,205,100 employees opened new accounts.
Among the newly-opened employees, 76.85% of the employees who have paid deposits are urban private enterprises and other urban enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, private non-enterprise units and other types of units.
In the whole year, there were 4,160,900 housing provident fund paid-in units and 164,360,900 paid-in employees, an increase of 13.88% and 7.23% respectively over the previous year.
Chongqing and other 6 cities have steadily promoted the pilot work of flexible employment personnel to participate in the housing provident fund system to help solve the housing problems of new citizens in big cities.
By the end of 2021, a total of 72,900 people with flexible employment in the pilot cities have contributed to the housing provident fund, most of whom are new citizens and young people.
