China News Service, June 14. According to Yonhap News Agency, on the 14th local time, the New Name Committee of the Presidential Palace of South Korea decided to temporarily use "Yongsan Presidential Palace" as the name of the new presidential palace.

On March 20, local time, South Korean President-elect Yoon Seok-wyeh held the first press conference after the establishment of the Presidential Handover Committee, and announced the "Blue House Presidential Office Relocation Plan".

Yin Xiyue announced that the Office of the President will be moved to the Ministry of Defense Building.

According to reports, in the afternoon of the same day, the new name committee of the Presidential Palace of South Korea held a meeting.

A spokesman for the South Korean president said that after discussions, the committee decided not to use the new name.

She added, "Instead of making a hasty choice, we decided to take more time until a suitable name came along."

Previously, the new presidential palace had five candidates for the title of National House, National Office Building, Minsheng Office, Zhengdao Renjian and No. 22 Itaewon Road.

But none of the names received a majority of votes in the online preference survey, and all had negative opinions, making it difficult to form a national consensus, the spokesman said.

After Yun Xiyue was elected president of South Korea, he announced on March 20 that the presidential office would be relocated from the Blue House to the Ministry of National Defense Building in Yongsan District, Seoul.
