Kiel (dpa / lno) - Holstein Kiel wants to consolidate the relegation place in the 2nd Bundesliga.

The Schleswig-Holsteiners receive FC St. Pauli today (6.30 p.m. / Sky).

If the Kielers succeed in winning, they would move up to one point on the second in the table SpVgg Greuther Fürth and expand their lead over Hamburger SV to four points.

However, coach Ole Werner's team has been warned.

St. Pauli is the best team in the second half of the season with ten wins and 31 points.

They also want to continue their triumphant advance in the Schleswig-Holstein state capital.

The team wants to get all nine of the points to be awarded in the three remaining games, emphasized coach Timo Schultz.

The Kiel are still behind with two catch-up games.

They currently play a game every three days and are the most challenged of all second division clubs in terms of strength.
