26 October 2021 Kazakhstan has ensured transit to third countries for Afghan women - judges and parliamentarians.
The Kazakh foreign ministry announced on its website that the country has provided a humanitarian corridor.
"Based on the Republic of Kazakhstan's commitment to its international humanitarian obligations, the head of state has decided to provide a transit corridor for Afghan women - judges and parliamentarians - and their families," said the Foreign Ministry.
The transit was carried out in collaboration with non-governmental organizations through Almaty airport.
Afghan female judges and parliamentarians have already left Kazakhstan for third countries.
